Taught by Aliza Peltier Aliza is a Psychologist, Literary Translator and Yoga Teacher born and raised in Romania. Her passion for French classical culture had a huge impact on her life (new chosen country, France, and years of travelling especially in Africa), but also on her health. The long hours spent sitting reading and translating and two late births left her at the age of 40 overweight and with severe immobility in her back. At that moment, determined to avoid surgery, Aliza turned to yoga and completely improved her quality of life, surpassing all movement barriers she once possessed. After her training in Italy and many years of teaching yoga in Senegal, she is most passionate about sharing her style of yoga to as many students as possible as she believes, yoga is the profound source of her revival. In Aliza's classes, you can expect a stern but loving energy, intended to challenge your mind, breath, and body in ways, not easily found in Western culture. Aliza's approach to teaching, is traditional and deeply honours the roots of yoga. She meets you where you are and is able to provide specific and individual options for each of her students. It is recommended that students who wish to practice and learn from Aliza, arrive to class with a sense of receptivity and openess to firm instruction.
