Tai Chi for Seniors

CLOSED

About the Class

Our Tai Chi for Seniors class is a specially designed program for seniors of all activity levels, including those with special circumstances, such as Parkinson’s, arthritis, fibromyalgia, balance issues and so forth. These exercises can be performed standing or seated.  The class is based off Cate Morrill's “Movement Improvement Tai Chi” to help the elderly regain mobility, energize their spirit and reduce the risk of falling.  Cate's program is endorsed by doctors, nurses, physical therapists and many others in the Senior Health Care field. Movements are designed and instructed for all levels of ability, and taught at a pace all can follow.  We emphasize moves to loosen the major muscle groups, provide full rotation of the joints, and create balance and stability. And it’s fun!
