Yoga Teacher
Cleveland City Dance
Namaste. I am grateful to be given the opportunity to be exercising the intention I set out to do when I made the decision to pursue yoga teacher training in 2019 through Awake to My Soul YTT program.I was introduced to yoga around 2005 after a significant knee injury and surgery where I endured a prolonged and complicated recovery. Yoga was the healing intervention allowing me to extend the knee again through stretching of ligaments and strengthening of muscles without impact on my joint. Fast forward to years later I found my mind and body overstimulated by work and my HIT workouts leading to overuse and mental exhaustion. I returned to yoga finding a release of control and tension and found peace of mind, resilience, and restoration through yoga practice.Connecting the breath and body is one of my most cherished aspects of yoga that I share and bring to all my classes. Transferring this practice from the yoga mat to daily life is something I hope everyone leaves with from my classes. I have created and lead the yoga and meditation component for UH Diabetes and Metabolic Center Retreats, have taught Slow Flow and Restorative at Yoga Roots, and frequently sub Slow Flow at Burn Boot Camp Beachwood and am actively creating a Restorative yoga practice at the Burn Boot Camp. I am excited to bring restoration and movement to the parents and anyone else here at CCD!Brandi's daughter Indira is also a student at Cleveland City Dance and a member of City Ballet of Cleveland.
