Yoga Teacher
Yogashala Wellness Centre
I began practicing yoga in 2005 when I was going through a difficult time in my life. I always found I could show up on my mat and be 100% supported. I continued my journey practicing whenever I got the opportunity but always wanted to learn more. I completed my 200-hour yoga teacher training at Kula Yoga in Oakville in 2009. Shortly after completing my yoga teacher training, I completed a Mindfulness course for stress reduction. My teachings combine both. Yoga is the perfect opportunity to practice mindfulness through the connection of breath and movement.I continue to study and practice. I gravitate to different teachers based on where I am in my life. Every yoga practice and teacher has something unique to offer. I have taught for over 10 years in the corporate environment, at health clubs and at yoga studios. My practice and teaching continue to evolve but always with the goal of being present and accepting of what is.My goal as a teacher is to meet every student where they are. Yoga is a personal practice. It is you, your body, your breath and your mat. Every day we bring something different to our mat. Yoga is a magical journey of discovering more, of accepting what is and moving your body with awareness and breath.
