About the Appointment

What is an infrared sauna? An infrared sauna is a type of sauna that uses infrared heaters to emit light waves that directly heat your body rather than warming the air around you. Unlike traditional saunas, which use high heat and steam, infrared saunas operate at a lower temperature, typically between 120°F and 150°F (49°C to 65°C). This makes the experience more tolerable for longer periods while still inducing a deep, detoxifying sweat. HOW DOES AN INFRARED SAUNA WORK? Infrared saunas use infrared light to penetrate the skin and heat the body at a cellular level. This promotes increased blood circulation, detoxification, and relaxation. Infrared light is safe and part of the natural spectrum of sunlight, without harmful UV rays. At Brickz Health & Wellness we use Clearlight Infrared Saunas because they stand out as a superior brand due to their emphasis on safety, innovative design, and effectiveness in promoting wellness.  Here are the key reasons why they are highly regarded: Low EMF Technology: Clearlight saunas use advanced carbon/ceramic heaters that emit minimal electromagnetic fields (EMF), ensuring a safer experience compared to many competitors. This technology was pioneered by the brand's founder, Dr. Raleigh Duncan, a chiropractor with extensive knowledge of infrared therapy and its benefits Detoxification Efficiency: Clearlight saunas are designed to optimize detoxification, reportedly being 87% more effective at removing toxins than traditional saunas. This makes them a powerful tool for improving overall health BENEFITS Detoxification Improve circulation Supports muscle recovery Stress relief Promotes relaxation Improve skin health Improve Sleep Boosts Immune System   Please Note: This Sauna is Single Use Only

Special Instructions

Before Your Sauna Session: Hydrate Well – Drink plenty of water before your session to prevent dehydration. Eat Lightly – Avoid heavy meals at least 1-2 hours before your session for optimal comfort. Dress Comfortably – Wear a swimsuit or loose, breathable clothing (or use provided towels). Remove Jewelry & Lotions – Metal can heat up quickly, and lotions can block pores, reducing the detox effect. Avoid Alcohol & Caffeine – These can dehydrate you and increase the risk of dizziness. Listen to Your Body – If you feel unwell, lightheaded, or have any medical conditions (like heart issues or low blood pressure), consult a doctor before use.   After Your Sauna Session: Cool Down Gradually – Allow your body to return to a normal temperature before taking a cold shower or doing contrast therapy. Rehydrate – Drink plenty of water or an electrolyte-rich beverage to replenish lost fluids. Take a Lukewarm Shower – Rinse off sweat and toxins, but avoid extreme cold immediately after. Nourish Your Body – Eat a light, nutrient-dense meal or snack to replenish minerals and energy. Rest & Recover – Allow time for relaxation after your session, as your body continues to detox and benefit from the heat exposure.
