Vijay, has been dancing for 15 years, including Salsa for the last 9 years. He started in Ottawa and has since danced with multiple schools. He had had the priviledge of learning from some amazing teachers such as Cliffton Banks, Anya Katsevman, Billy Farjardo, and Adriano & Samantha. This amazing journey has led him to competing on some of the biggest stages in the world.Some of his accomplishments include winning the Montreal Salsa Convention two times (Amateur), winning the Canada Salsa and Bachata Congress twice (Amateur) and competing at the World Salsa Summit Championship (Amateur) as a finalist. He has an undying passion for salsa. He dances mostly Mambo (Salsa on2); focusing on shines, musicality, flow, technique and lead/follow connection. A fact that he finds fun is that he met his wife through Latin dancing.
