I believe that what we read, speak, eat and do, is all part of being healthy and well. Teaching and learning has been a life-long pursuit and I have over 20 years of experience teaching Hatha Yoga and Group Fitness in various environments. o I am adept in teaching a diverse audience of students of different ages and fitness levels, from those new to yoga to advanced students and teachers.o I have a dynamic teaching style that is professional and personal, intellectual and approachable.o My classes integrate current movement principles and techniques with ancient wisdom. I strive to make my classes relevant and practical for students at all levels. My life experiences inform my teaching. At 14, I had spinal fusion surgery. This meant months of recovery and years of healing. It took patience and determination to return to sports and movement. I began my study of Yoga in 1992 as a stress management tool when I worked as a Software and Network Engineer. From the beginning yoga taught me how to be in my body in an accepting, non-competitive way. In 2003, I completed my Yoga Teacher Training and started teaching at a Gym, a Yoga studio and a Cancer treatment center. This was a wonderful new chapter in my life, and I continued to teach, learn and expand my teaching in other environments for over 20 years. While on my journey, I developed relationships and collaborated with teachers of Yoga, Feldenkrais and Qigong and physical and massage therapists and personal trainers. I am so grateful for all that I have learned from studying and teaching Yoga. My goal is to create a movement practice that promotes stability and flexibility of the mind and body. To create a layered practice that integrates breathwork and meditation for health and wellness.
