Yin yoga is a slow, meditative, passive style of yoga that involves holding poses for longer periods, usually 3-10 minutes or more. It targets the body's deep connective tissues, like ligaments, fascia, and tendons, and lower body, including the hips, pelvis, and inner thighs. Yin yoga is based on Taoist concepts of in of yin and yang, and is considered a yin practice, along more passive asanas.
