The fitness assessment equips the personal trainer with the necessary information to inform the client as to their current physical condition. Although it varies from client to client the information that is revealed in the fitness assessment may encourage the client to begin a program immediately. Most importantly the fitness assessment provides the trainer with the necessary information to customize a solid PT program for the client. At the time of the assessment the personal trainer should be prepared to discuss the client’s intensity, changes in body fat and lean muscle mass, nutrition, workout intensity, and muscle endurance.
