About the Appointment

Exercise Physiology Consultation – 60-Minute Session Work one-on-one with an exercise physiologist in a dedicated 60-minute session designed to develop a personalized exercise program tailored to your specific health conditions and goals. Your consultation will include a brief medical history focused on cardiovascular and orthopedic factors, a detailed exercise history and preferences, and a review of any recent diagnostic testing to help guide recommendations. Together, you’ll establish short-term and long-term goals to create the most effective plan. All exercise components—including cardiovascular, strength, and flexibility training—are explained and demonstrated as needed for a safe, comprehensive approach to improving mobility and fitness. Exercise physiology visits are highly encouraged and are included in your SHIELD membership.

Special Instructions

Instructions for Your Visit Please arrive 10–15 minutes early to complete any necessary paperwork and prepare for your session. Stay well-hydrated and ensure you have eaten a proper, healthy meal in advance to support optimal performance and safety. Wear comfortable, non-restrictive athletic clothing suitable for exercise. Men are welcome to remove their shirts, and women may choose to wear a sports bra during testing for greater comfort while wearing cardiac electrodes. Alternatively, a looser-fitting shirt is recommended over a tight-fitting one for ease during the session. Bring any recent medical or diagnostic reports you would like to discuss. If you’re scheduled for a fitness assessment or VO2 max test, please follow any specific preparation guidelines provided in advance. Stay hydrated, and inform your provider of any recent changes to your health or activity levels to ensure a safe and effective session.
