

Yoga is a mindfulness practice that incorporates body, mind and spirit. It teaches you how to pay attention to the sensations in the body, often leading to a sense of calmness, focus and unity. By using the breath (pranayama) in sequence with the poses (asanas) Yoga helps calm the body and relax the mind allowing for acceptance of whatever emotions are present. Yoga teaches us to love and accept ourselves in the present moment and let go of what’s not serving us. When we cultivate love and compassion for ourselves; we are less reactive, more present and feel a greater sense of joy.
