Burn & Breathe

CLOSED

About the Class

Burn & Breathe is based on the concepts of Tapasya Yoga   Tapasya (from Sanskrit tapas) means inner heat, discipline, or spiritual austerity.
It comes from the root word “to burn.”
It’s about conscious effort that purifies and strengthens you.   In yoga philosophy, Tapasya is: * The discipline to stay committed * The heat that transforms habits * The willingness to sit with discomfort * The fire that burns ego, laziness, fear Each class is designed as a focused, intelligently structured workshop dedicated to one specific area of the body and a peak posture. We begin with 25–30 minutes of targeted preparatory exercises, carefully designed to activate, strengthen, and mobilize the muscles required for the day’s focus. For example, in a Splits Workshop, we progressively warm and condition the inner thighs, hamstrings, hip flexors, and glutes to ensure both safety and depth.   Once the body is properly prepared, we move into a thoughtfully sequenced series of asanas that gradually build toward the peak posture. When the muscles are ready and the nervous system is steady, we enter the full expression of the pose — such as the splits — and hold it with awareness, refinement, and breath, allowing time to deepen alignment and control.   We conclude each session with grounding pranayama and a restorative Shavasana, supporting integration, recovery, and nervous system balance.   Every class is thematic — structured like a workshop — offering students not just a practice, but a clear progression, deeper understanding, and measurable development over time.
