Beverly took her first yoga class when she was 8 years old, and more than 40 years later, she enrolled in yoga teacher training, proving to herself that it’s never too late to achieve a dream. Beverly worked in sales and marketing in a corporate environment, owned her own business, created a family that includes adopted and biological children, and finally, once her three kids were grown, became a yoga instructor. Best job ever!Beverly graduated from the Open Doors Yoga Studios 200-Hour Teacher Training Program in 2015 and the Sacred Seeds Yoga School, Jacqui Bonwell 300-Hour Teacher Training Program in 2017. As an E-RYT 500 instructor, she has additional training and certifications in Yin Yoga, SPA Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Balanced Athlete Level 1, Reiki 1, and Instructing Beginners.Her teaching style is open-hearted, friendly, and accessible, creating community and connection through yoga. Beverly’s inclusive instruction invites class participants to explore breath and movement with safe physical alignment and energetic awareness. She encourages individuals to tap into their internal peace, personal power, and mindful presence. She teaches with a sense of humor, infectious joy, and love for yoga—though she still struggles with left and right! Her favorite yoga moments are when students of all ages and abilities practice together, feeling challenged and engaged, resulting in a collective energy that feels like magic.When not teaching yoga, Beverly enjoys cooking, reading, outdoor walks, container plants (but not the big garden kind), traveling with her husband, family, and friends, couch time with Tillie the dog, and visiting independent coffee shops serving delicious coffee—lots of coffee!
