Private Mindfulness Coaching: Mindfulness is the practice of: being aware and engaged in present moment experience (thoughts, emotions, physical sensations, as well as external-environmental awareness), catching yourself when distracted and gently returning to task, creating space and choosing to respond rather than react, accepting more, and resisting less. Mindfulness helps to create balance and stability and it’s the foundation for which both social-emotional programs and athlete training programs build upon. Private training sessions are available for those interested in learning how to cultivate a personal mindfulness practice (adults, or teens 13+) in a one-to-one environment. Individuals may seek mindfulness training in order to: help manage pain, stress, or anxiety, improve focus and attention, develop emotional balance, and/or to turn-off autopilot and feel more engaged in life. With mindfulness, businessmen and women learn to cope with an unstable work environment or to improve creativity and productivity. Teachers and parents discover how to destress, be less critical of themselves and be more patient when communicating and working with children/teens. Everyone can benefit from learning to pause, breathe, and be present. It may even bring more calm, peace, and happiness to your daily life. Students and/or athletes may seek mindfulness “Mental Toughness Training” to help them: manage “negative mental chatter”, improve relationships with friends/teammates, strengthen concentration and decrease general/performance anxiety during test-taking, competitions, and/or sports games, increase self-confidence, and to build resiliency in order to bounce back from disappointment and be ready for the next opportunity.
