About the Class

The Wall……My favorite prop. Sandy will guide you through specific poses with the support of a wall, to benefit people of any age or ability. Alignment & Balance: Several focus poses will be dissected with the use of the wall to allow our bodies to feel the proper alignment. Proper alignment preserves our spine as well as stretches that very part that needs stretching. Often times we feel the stretch and shift out of alignment to “go farther”. This can not only be damaging, but prevents lengthening of soft tissues. Using the wall to set up balancing poses provides an opportunity to work the muscles of the legs and creating a mental focus developing balance and coordination. Surrender: For the greatest benefit of a stretch to be received, there must be a letting go of any outer or inner gripping. Specific wall friendly shapes/postures will be utilized to surrender into.   Who should come? This class is beneficial to beginner and seasoned yogis. Expect to be on your back for a minimum of 20 minutes. We have special cushioning for those with stenosis or other bac ailments that prefer a softer landing. Just let Sandy know. A special price of 8 consecutive classes will be offered. You may also use your discount pass, membership or simply buy a drop in pass.
